- This machine is essentially three food-planting tools on one piece of equipment. At first, the unit was being assembled in a garage one unit at a time. No two units were alike. To scale up, the inventor needed to make manufacturing faster and more consistent. That’s where bo-mar came in.
- We created a design that is more manufacturable and usable. We made it lower profile for more stability and better visibility out the back which also made it easier to load the seed.
- In addition, we incorporated a chain housing down the leg, which made the unit easier to manufacture and reduced the likelihood of damage. Most important, the new design increased the yield on how much seed it could handle.
- We then produced 50 units quickly – and the 50th one was just like the first one. The maker now sells a 4-foot, 6-foot, and 8-foot version.
