While it is not a prerequisite for working at bo-mar, it is likely true that everyone employed here loves motorsports. Perhaps because it is similar to how bo-mar approaches business – striving for efficiency, racing against time, helping our customers cross the finish line as winners, or maybe we just love those fast machines. Whatever the case, living in the Circle City has given us opportunities to work with various motorsport operations. bo-mar has collaborated with teams to produce everything from simple brackets to chassis dynamometers, in quantities of one to low volume production. Many racing teams think of bo-mar as an extension of their own shop. Our partnerships with the racing industry have been successful due to our variety of equipment, such as Mazak laser cutters, Flow waterjets, HAAS Machine Centers, and Virtek Laser Scanner. The Virtek machine, specifically, provides a crucial advantage for our customers. This machine allows our staff to reverse engineer parts and assemblies in minutes, not hours. When parts are scanned on the Virtek a drawing of the part is automatically created. The drawing can then be saved for further engineering, or sent directly to the waterjet for cutting.
