Portable ATMs: more complex than just a metal case

By: Bob Buchanan

portable-atm-baseBuilding a portable ATM enclosure might seem simple, but it’s much more complex than just a metal case. We know you want to protect and secure the computer and safe, but you’ll also want to be able to transport and customize your ATM. You’ll consider many important decisions that shape your vision. Do you need a walk up or a drive up? Do you need customization such as WiFi or GPS? How do you plan to transport each ATM to its location?

When building portable ATMs, the most important decision you’ll make is choosing a manufacturer that will listen and artfully create a solution. At bo-mar, we customize our design to your exact machine instead of building around the most common stock dimensions. Our thermostat control technology helps keep your machine running smoothly in any climate and our engineers are trained to anticipate questions and build solutions.

For example, one of our clients requested several portable ATMs that would be convenient in areas experiencing natural disasters. The solution was a truly all-in-one unit with built-in wiring and WiFi. Each ATM weighs about 600lbs but can easily be rolled into place using heavy duty internal casters or by using the built in forklift pockets.

What could you do with your portable ATMs?

Think about the options that would make them work best for your environments. For example:

  • HVAC heating
  • Insulation
  • Wrapped with graphics
  • Coated finish
  • WiFi
  • GPS
